Im Reed, a photographer based in Middle Tennessee, specializing in event and portrait photography, as well as promotion and documentation for those in the music industry. I’ve been shooting since 2015.

My approach to photographing people is rooted in environmental portraiture — I've been one to believe that a person's personality is  a product of their environment.. I’m interested in how setting, context, and mood all shape a moment. Whether I’m documenting a live show, a quiet afternoon, or a crowded celebration, I try to make images that feel lived-in and honest.

I find that the best images happen when everyone involved is present and “in the moment.”

My workflow includes both film and digital photography.

I’m excited to work with people to address their unique challenges, and to provide a finished product that is true to my client and their story.  I’m based in Tennessee but always open to travel within the U.S. I look forward to hearing from you!
